There is genius on the inside of you. But most believers never access it. They love God. They pray. They want to go higher. Yet something keeps pulling them back into the same cycles.
The problem is not your spirit. It’s your thinking.
The 12th Child’s Bathwater
Years ago, I pastored a woman who had a loving heart, but she carried a harsh poverty spirit. She was the youngest of 12 children.
When bath time came, everybody went before her. By the time she got in, the water was cold, filthy, and full of soap scum and germs from everybody else. She hated it.
That repeated humiliation made an imprint on her mind. It locked a poverty mentality into her thinking. That is what trauma does. It tries to “stamp defeat” into your thinking until you begin to accept it as normal.
I prayed for her. And prayer does help, but then I gave her the next step: to wash her mind in the Word. Because the Word does the deeper work. Some of you have old imprints too, maybe not from bathwater, but maybe from failure, poverty, addiction, or things done to you.
Here’s the good news: That imprint is not permanent.
You Can Lay New Tracks In Your Mind
Scientists use a term called neuroplasticity. It means your brain can be rewired to work differently than it did before. You do not have to keep the same broken pathways.
The same defeat cycles. The same addictions.
You can lay new tracks in your brain.
Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
When you meditate on the Word, you work with how God designed you. It is not just a devotional moment. You are building new neurological pathways aligned with Heaven. But this is where many believers stop short.
Reading The Word Is Not Enough
Here is where many people miss it. They read and meditate, but they do not speak.
Your confession matters.
A wrong confession is agreement with defeat. When people keep talking failure, loss, and helplessness, they are giving place to the enemy.
Speak what God says instead.
• Victory.
• Healing.
• Freedom.
Getting On God’s Frequency
God’s ways are higher than how you’ve been thinking. They produce different results. And they work— every single time you align with them.
So if you want to reshape your mind, you must get on a specific frequency.
What I call the God frequency.
How do you get on this frequency?
- Take a verse and keep saying it until you start thinking like God.
- Make it personal— put your situation right into the scripture.
- Say it out loud and speak directly to the problem.
For example, 1 Peter 2:24 says: “He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness— by whose stripes you were healed.”
Now make it personal, if cigarettes were the struggle, you could say:
“Jesus Himself bore my sins, [including the sin of cigarette addiction], in His own body on the tree, that I, having died to [the sin of smoking], might live for righteousness. By whose stripes I was healed [from cigarette addiction].”
Give the Lord 20 minutes a day.
Do 30 days, and you will begin to think differently.
Go 90 days and you’ll see a deep transformation.
This is not empty positive talk. This is Word-based confession. You are renewing your mind. Rewiring your brain.
And this is what begins to come out:
• Creative gifting.
• Higher-level thinking.
• Fresh understanding.
The genius anointing.
You begin to move from loss to winning. And I believe that is exactly where God is taking you.
Now pray this with me out loud:
"Father bless us with spiritual understanding of your ways, of your protocol, of your methods. Help us run to the fortress of your Word. Help us wash our minds with the scriptures you give us. Help us personalize it, speak it, and declare it with all boldness. I thank you that we have stepped into your righteousness, your high order of living. Now Father, we give you praise. We thank you. Let the genius anointing come out. We have the mind of the anointed one. In Jesus’ name, amen."
