"Are you the guy who wrote that angel book?"
I was at a conference in Tampa, washing my hands in a bathroom, when a man next to me grabbed my name badge.
"Hey, you're Steven Brooks! We love you in Germany. I'm from Germany. If my father only knew I was meeting you right now…"
We took a picture for him to send to his father. The moment caused me to remember something from years back.
The Day I Named Something That Didn't Exist
1998 was the year I incorporated my ministry. I went to the library, read about how to do it, and filed for it. I had already prayed about the name: Steven Brooks International.
There was one problem.
If someone had asked back then, "How many countries have you preached in?" The answer was zero. No nations were calling. The few invitations I had were local. But I didn't call it Steven Brooks Local, I called it International. When I did, a law went to work on my behalf.
The Law That Works For You
There's a law of faith. Jesus put it plainly in Mark 11:24 — whatever you ask in prayer, believe you receive it, and it's yours with no visual evidence and no physical confirmation.
You pray. You ask for it. Right at that moment, you believe you've got it.
That's when it goes to work.
Most people ask for something. Then three days later ask again. A year later, five years later, they still ask. But the law of faith operates differently. The moment after you ask, you move into thanksgiving. Then you take whatever action you can. And it’ll show up where you least expect it.
What Gets Named Doesn't Stay Hidden
I was sitting at my computer and an email with a photo arrived. It was from a group of young people that were on the other side of the world. Sitting under the branches of a large tree, they were reading one of my books and talking about what it meant to them.
I thought: how did my books even get into that nation? What I claimed caught up to me.
And what you claim will catch up to you.
Maybe you're asking for a raise. Maybe you're asking for a spouse. Something you need or something you desire. You're asking for it right now.
Don't wait for proof before you believe it's yours.
Ask... then start thanking God that it's already done.
Now pray this with me out loud:
"Father, thank You for the vision placed in my heart. Thank You for the courage to name it today, even when the evidence remains physically invisible. I receive the strength to walk in this confidence, and I trust You to bring the manifestation in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, amen."
