Are you believing God for something… but it's taking way longer than expected?
You’ve prayed. You’ve stayed faithful. You’ve stood on the Word. And yet… you’re still waiting? Let me encourage you today, you’re not off track. You’re in process.
In Galatians 3, the apostle Paul asks a powerful question: “Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
In other words: how did salvation start? Not by effort. Not by performance.
You received by faith.
And here’s what you must grab hold of…
The same way it started is the way it continues. God works miracles the same way what you’re believing for unfolds as you keep hearing, reading, and believing in His Word.
Why the Waiting Matters
This is where many believers get discouraged. They think: “If it hasn’t happened yet… maybe it’s not working.” But Scripture gives us a different picture.
Hebrews 11 tells us that Sarah herself received strength to conceive…Even though she was past the natural age. The key is: it didn’t happen overnight. From the promise to the manifestation, it took 25 years.
And I want to encourage you on this: The waiting is okay. It's normal. As long as you are believing, the Spirit of God is still working.
Heavyweight vs. Lightweight Faith
The Holy Spirit gave me this phrase, and I want you to grab it:
Heavyweight faith can wait. Lightweight faith gets excited quickly…but also gives up quickly.
Heavyweight faith is steady, it's anchored, and it doesn’t panic when things take time.
Why?
Because it understands something most people miss: Faith + patience = manifestation
Hebrews 6 says we inherit the promises through faith and patience. Patience isn’t passive.
It’s staying in faith and holding your ground until the result shows up.
The “Overnight” Miracle Myth
I remember when Jesus spoke to me about a specific property for the ministry.
I thought it would happen within a few weeks. But it took over 10 years of praying, searching, and driving all over the county. Nothing was even for sale that fit what we needed. Then suddenly, at the right time, God brought it into our hands.
Sometimes people say, “It just happened overnight!” But what they don’t tell you is…Many “overnight” miracles are a 25-year process.
So what is God doing in the waiting?
• He’s strengthening your faith
• He’s building spiritual endurance
• He’s preparing you for what you’re asking for
You’re Closer Than You Think
I want to speak this into your life:
If you’ve been holding on…
If you’ve stayed in faith…
If you haven’t quit…
You are not behind—you are near.
In fact, for some of you, you are at the tail end of the process. Your miracle is not far off. It could break out suddenly, and when it does, you’re going to have what I call an “Isaac moment.”
Because Isaac means laughter. And you’re going to laugh. Not because it was easy, but because you didn’t quit.
Stay in Believing Mode
Let me leave you with this:
Don’t step out of faith just because time has passed. Even if you’ve had a few down days…even if you've had a rough season. Get your faith right back on it.
Abraham had ups and downs and Sarah had moments of doubt, but they didn’t walk away from the promise. Because they stayed, they received, and I know you'll do the same.
Now pray this with me out loud:
"Father, I receive your grace over my life. I speak faith and patience. I thank You that Your Spirit, who works miracles among us, is moving even now. Strengthen me to stay in believing mode. Give me endurance while the promise unfolds. And Father, I thank You that what You started, You will bring to completion.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen."
